Episode 1: The Better Ageing Podcast

We’re extremely excited to announce the launch of The Better Ageing Podcast!

We have developed this podcast in our attempt to improve the health and wellbeing of our ageing population, and empower women and men to live healthier, more independent lives, for longer.

Each episode, in an easy to listen to format, we’ll be providing simple, real-world advice on healthy ageing that’s easy to follow and share with the loved ones you care for. Bringing together practical advice from leading geriatrician (Jane) and physiotherapist (Jason), we’ll cover two key topics, followed by an ‘audience questions’ segment where Jason and Jane answer your questions, with practical advice that’s easy to implement at home. I’ll (Jonathan) be acting as your host, learning a lot along the way, and ensuring that the advice we provide is easy to understand in laymen’s terms.

If you have a question for our experts, I encourage you to submit it via our contact page. Not only will be answering your questions every episode, we’ll also be sharing resources and publishing articles on our website on the topics covered in the podcast for further reading and information.

So, without further ado, Episode one of The Better Ageing Podcast is available now to listen to below, and on all major podcast apps. In our first episode we introduce the show and discuss joint pain (in particular arthritis), and falls and balance. We share practical advice for everyone on these two important topics, with some personal first-hand experience from Jane who manages so much whilst dealing with arthritis herself.

We would like to thank you in advance for listening! If you have any feedback, or you enjoy the podcast, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us and let us know. We’ll be publishing a new episode regularly, and your feedback and questions will help us to improve the podcast for all.

– Jonathan (and Jane and Jason)
